PS Independent Trustees (PSIT) has been appointed to provide a Governance Advisory Arrangement (GAA) to wealth management firm and SIPP provider, COURTIERS Investment Services Limited (COURTIERS). COURTIERS provides financial and investment advice to high net worth individuals and organisations.
This new independent governance committee will assess the value for money of COURTIERS’ SIPP arrangement, challenging the firm where necessary to improve their workplace pension product.
Commenting on the appointment, , said: “The FCA expects GAAs to act independently and effectively in challenging providers on value for money issues. To do so, members of a GAA need to have expert knowledge of workplace pensions. The GAA must also act solely in the interests of relevant policyholders, a key point for raising challenge if needed.
As independent trustees, we can use our experience of working in members’ best interests and our extensive knowledge of defined contribution schemes to ensure strong governance. We look forward to working with COURTIERS in this key role.”
Jonathon Howard, Head of Corporate Clients at COURTIERS, commented: “We are pleased to be working with PSIT as GAA to our Group SIPP arrangements. As well as meeting the FCA’s requirement for independence and collective expertise and experience, PSIT brings a wealth of experience within a cost effective solution that can only be beneficial to our policyholders. We look forward to working with them.”
